B.A. in Social & Behavioral Sciences

The B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences degree combines coursework in psychology and sociology. This major prepares students for entry-level positions in social services and/or application to graduate programs in counseling, psychology or social work. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook (2018), substance abuse, behavioral disorder and mental health counselor positions are expected to grow by 22%, much faster than the average, from 2018-2028. This major includes 39 credit hours.
