It’s a great time to be a Walsh Cavalier!  Are you looking for ways to enhance your student experience outside of the classroom?  The Office of Student Activities (OSA) serves the needs of our students not only by planning fun and engaging activities but also providing meaningful educational experiences.  We want you to make the most of your time at Walsh, and there’s no better way to do so then to become fully immersed in our campus life experience!

Our student clubs and organizations provide an opportunity for leadership, growth and engagement in a student driven environment.  Walsh has over 50 different student organizations on campus providing countless opportunities to meet new people, become leaders in service to others, and well as make meaningful connections to our campus community.

University Program Board (UPB)

“Programs for Students by Students!”
The Walsh University Programming Board (UPB) is a group of dynamic student leaders who plan, organize and implement exciting campus programs.  The board helps to support the Walsh student experience by offering educational, social, recreational, and cultural events that reflect and respond to the desires of our students and the programming needs of the campus.

UPB provides opportunities for students to gain valuable leadership experience through the programming planning and campus engagement. The Office of Student Activities is always looking for new members with innovative ideas and a fresh sense of excitement! Join us!

Our Campus Life Traditions

Agape Retreat
The AGAPE retreat is a student-led retreat which began in 2004.  This amazing weekend features powerful praise and worship, holy mass, inspiring witnesses of faith, time for reflection as well as plenty of fellowship and fun.  

Sibs Weekend
Sibs Weekend is a special invitation for our “little sibs” to visit their favorite Walsh University students. We offer games, entertainment, movies, and activities to help celebrate the time spent together on campus! 

“Boo at the WU” Trick or Treat in the Residence Halls
Boo at the WU is a free, family-friendly campus event with games and a residence hall trick-or-treat experience.  Walsh University residential students decorate the residence halls, dress up in costume and pass out candy! 

Walsh Homecoming
Homecoming is an annual university celebration that invites all members of our Walsh community-past and present- to spark their Walsh spirit!  Homecoming week is filled with fun and engaging campus programs to celebrate our outstanding students and alumni.   

Founder’s Week
Founders’ Week is a week-long celebration of the Brothers of Christian Instructor and their founders, Fr. John Marie De La Mennais and Fr. Gabriel Deshayes.  Throughout the week we celebrate the Brother’s legacy at Walsh University and thank them for over 200 years of service in education.  

Discover Freshman Retreat
“Discover” is a non-denominational retreat designed specifically for the freshman students.  Led by members of our University Programming Board, the retreat centers on self-discovery, identity exploration, and community. 

Hoover Hop
The Hoover Hop is a student-led dance/social with a classic “Sock Hop” theme.  All proceeds from the dance are dedicated to raising money for those in need.    

Mr. Walsh
Mr. Walsh is a student talent competition featuring Walsh’s finest gentlemen representing their student organizations! Each representative competes in three categories:  Spirit, Interview, and Talent to vie for the coveted Mr. Walsh title. 

Spring Formal
Wear your best and dance the night away at this annually themed event!  Spring Formal is hosted by the University Programming Board and is our final dance celebration of the year.
