Fall 2021 Incoming Freshmen
Incoming freshmen must meet the following criteria in order to apply for the Honors Program:
- Be accepted to Walsh University by December 21st, 2020.
- Cumulative GPA: 3.75 or higher
- Test Optional Applicants: Your GPA will need to be a 3.75 after the recalculation of your GPA through the admission process for Walsh University. The Cumulative GPA of Test Optional Applicants will be recalculated to remove non-college prep coursework.
- 25 ACT/1200 SAT – Composite or Super Score
- If you are a test optional applicant, you will not submit a test score.
Upon meeting the above criteria, students must complete the following:
- Honors Application – Students will receive an invitation via mail and email guiding them to the online Honors Application. Applications and additional documents must be submitted by January 4th, 2021.
- Submit a resume through the online Honors Application
- Complete a timed essay prompt before January 4th, 2021. Students will receive instructions on how to complete this once they submit their application.
- Submit two Letters of Recommendation
- Students can submit more than two letters
- It is preferred to have letters come from core subject teachers
- Letters of Recommendation will need to be emailed to [email protected] by the teacher, etc.
- Interview
- Students will interview with professors who are part of the Walsh University Honors Committee.
- Interviews for incoming freshmen will take place on Saturday, January 23rd.
- Students must have submitted their application and other documents by January 4th, 2021 in order to interview for the Honors Program.
