Accounting Internships

Accounting students have interned at organizations including Ernst & Young, an array of regional public accounting firms, The Timken Company, Diebold Nixdorf, Aultman, Professional Football Hall of Fame, and Sirak Financial.

An academic (for credit) accounting internship is required, and these accounting internships can be completed at any point prior to graduation. If a student is inclined, accounting coursework is sequenced so that an accounting student can devote the entire spring semester of the junior year to a full-time accounting internship.

Experiential Learning Programs

In Federal Taxation II, accounting students participate in the IRS Voluntary Income Tax Assistance program whereby students prepare tax returns for low income taxpayers.

Fourth-year accounting students take a course devoted to experiential learning, whereby students collaborate with industry professionals and gain real world experience in a wide variety of business and consulting projects.
