Exciting things are happening in the Walsh University Music Department!
Our Bands continue to grow and have become key components to raising school spirit at athletic games and other events.
The Walsh University Chorale performs a wide variety of musical selections, showcasing their vocal talent during their seasonal concerts and at various campus events. In June 2011, our Chamber Singers, a select group of Chorale members, traveled to Rome and performed at the Papal Audience.
The biggest news, however, is the addition of Walsh's Birk Center for the Arts, which debuted in January 2012. The building includes the Dorothy Ling Rehearsal Hall and storage space for the band and choir as well as a visual art studio for drawing, painting and sculpture courses, and a spacious atrium to showcase artwork.
