Campus Police

The Walsh University Campus Police Department’s primary goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for the campus community, and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - even when the University is closed. The staff consists of sworn law enforcement officers who have full arrest power, are armed with weapons, and are able to provide all necessary police services on the University property.

These officers are also available to assist with:

  • Vehicle lock-outs
  • Courtesy escorts from buildings to vehicles, vehicles to buildings or building to building on campus for anyone who feels uncomfortable due to the time of day/night or has a concern regarding safety.
  • Jumping the battery of vehicles.

Please note that these officers are valuable educators with our students, and embrace the community policing philosophy. It is also their sworn duty to uphold the law as well as Walsh University policies.

Active Shooter Preparedness

Walsh University encourages all students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors to be aware of their surroundings at all time. This video training provided by the Department of Homeland Security is intended to help prepare you in the event of an active shooter or similar emergency situation on campus.
